Mark and Angela Pattinson - Owners 

Mark and Angela have a true understanding of the funeral industry. They are passionate about the work they do, and customers know they can rely on Baldwin’s to deliver ultimate quality and craftsmanship each and every time. Mark has been involved in the funeral industry all his life, and Angela looks after the office and administration side of the business.

Mark and Angela employ only local craftsmen who understand the need for the highest attainable standards and have a passion for their work.

Kelvyn Gilshnan – Manager
Kelvyn brings a vast wealth of knowledge to casket design and construction having been in the building and joinery industry prior to joining Baldwin’s in 2002. Kelvyn’s technical skills and experience are valuable assets to the success of Baldwin’s.  Kelvyn lives in Christchurch with his wife Kathy, son Matt, and daughter Holly.

 

Neville Costain – Foreman
Neville has been with Baldwin’s since its inception in the 70s and continues the tradition and skills he is renowned for. With his quiet nature and steady eddie approach, Neville is well versed in all aspects of the factory and manufacturing process. Neville takes enormous pride in all he achieves and is a pleasure to have in the team. Neville lives in Christchurch with his wife Thelma, has two adult children, and in his spare time enjoys aviation, can often be spotted at War Birds celebrations and is also a keen basketball enthusiast.

 

Garth Atkinson – Polisher Extraordinaire
Garth has been involved in the finishing industry most of his working life. He has an amazing skill set and takes enormous pride in all he achieves. He enjoys the challenge of matching colours and special one off designs and is always willing and helpful.  In his spare time Garth enjoys riding his motorcycle or working on his project cars.

         

Richard Poulsen – Operations Manager
Involved in the cabinet making and furniture industry since 1986 Richard brings an immense skill set and knowledge to the company. Richard is the go-to person for special requests and has a wide port folio of completed projects. Richard lives in Rolleston with his partner Michelle and in his spare time enjoys coaching soccer with their son Taylor.

 

Hayden Yates
Involved in all aspects of production, Hayden specialises in the operation and programming the two C.N.C. Routers and has been instrumental in the set up and commissioning of our new Italian Built State of the art 4 axis machine. In his spare time, he enjoys his involvement in the territorials and lives in Christchurch with his wife and two children.

 

John Mitten
John is enjoying learning all aspects of production. He is developing his already excellent woodworking skills, with his quiet and steady nature he is valuable member of a great team. John has recently purchased his first home in Christchurch, where he lives with his partner Jo, their cat and the chooks.

         

Josh Bean

Joining the company in 2015, Josh is an avid follower of sports including cricket, basketball, rugby, rugby league, and enjoys playing pool.  He has a passion for travel and enjoys meeting people from all walks of life.  A quick learner, Josh is acquiring new skills including C.N.C. programming and woodworking and is fitting in well with the team.

 

Dennis Biggs
Dennis specialises in the manufacture of the lids, and the finishing of caskets prior to polishing. With a pleasant disposition, Dennis can often be heard singing or whistling while he works. Dennis lives in New Brighton with his wife Sue.

 

Darrel Weavers
Having been involved in the furniture and printing industry for most of his life Darrel uses his expertise in the casket assembly division. In his spare time Darrel enjoys model radio control car racing and lives in Christchurch with his wife Katrina.
